Bills' Anderson getting MRI on knee

PHOENIX (WGR 550)  -- Not only did the Buffalo Bills receive their worst loss of the season, but they also had some starters fall to injury against the San Francisco 49ers.

The team said Monday that they are awaiting the word on the status of defensive end Mark Anderson. After suffering a knee injury against San Francisco on Sunday, he underwent an MRI on Monday and the team will know more as the week goes along.

On the offensive line, both Kraig Urbik and Cordy Glenn are out for a second straight week, and you can add reserve lineman Colin Brown to that list as well. Brown suffered a hamstring injury against the 49ers. He started for the team at right guard before his injury occurred.

Chad Rinehart has been dealing with a calf injury. Head coach Chan Gailey said he will not participate in practice on Wednesday, but still has a chance to play. If he can't, that means Sam Young will be lined up between Eric Wood and Erik Pears. Young hadn't gotten a rep at right guard this year before practice began last week. If Rinehart can't play, Young will have gone from no reps at the position to starting there in a little under two weeks.

Safety Jairus Byrd suffered a chest injury against San Francisco. Like Rinehart, he will be held out of practice on Wednesday, but Gailey believes his free safety has an opportunity to play against Arizona. Meanwhile starting cornerback Aaron Williams will be fine according to the head coach. He suffered a hand injury on Sunday.

The Bills and Cardinals are set to square off on Sunday, October 14 at 4:05.
