Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder Donates $10,000 To Maryland Family In Need

December 28, 2016
Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder donated $10,000 to Maryland mother Tyshika Britten after she wrote a plea on Craig's List asking for help to give her six kids an enjoyable holiday season. As the story they were on the brink of eviction went viral, the family received several gifts from various donors and a generous check from Vedder.

Vedder told The Washington Post: "I was just so moved by the story and what this mother did for her children. I thought those kids must be so proud of their mother for reaching out. That takes a lot of courage."
