Tom Petty Allegedly Found Unconscious, TMZ Reports

On Sunday night, Tom Petty was allegedly found unconscious and rushed to the UCLA Santa Monica Hospital, TMZ reports. According to the article, Petty was found in full cardiac arrest and was immediately put on life support.

While the rest of the details remain unknown, it appears that Petty may remain in critical condition.

Petty’s tour, which just wrapped at the Hollywood Bowl, featured a number of memorable moments, including a duet with Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks, where the two performed the 1981 hit “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.”

As TMZ notes, Petty’s big break came with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ 1978 classic, “Breakdown.”
