Legendary Rocker ROGER DALTREY has just announced plans for a short (12 dates) tour that will see the WHO's lead singer perform all of the rock opera 'Tommy,' accompanied by his own backing band and an orchestra in each city that he visits. Daltrey has selected The Marvin Sands/Constellation Brands Performing Arts Center (CMAC) as one of the stops! Presumably (but not confirmed), he will be backed by The RPO (Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra) for the performance. (see all of the dates below) In his statement announcing the limited tour, Daltrey said. “I'm really looking forward to singing Tommy, not only with my great backing group, but also some of the finest orchestras in the country. Pete Townshend’s rock music is particularly suited to being embellished by the sounds that an orchestra can add to the band, and it should make a memorable night of entertainment for all those who love the arts.”  It was only last June that Daltrey and The Who appeared at CMAC and completely 'Wowed' the crowd with Who classics that briefly acknowledged 'Tommy,' but this time we'll get the entire 'Tommy' performance! Additionally, this past October saw the release of The Who's DVD (charity) performance of the rock opera at London's Royal Albert Hall. Daltrey has also recently confirmed that his autobiography will be released in August of this year. That should be one helluva read! Rock On, Roger!
