ADAM LAMBERT Takes 'Fronting' Queen VERY Seriously...

February 1, 2017

As much as I think that QUEEN shouldn't tour with any singer OTHER than FREDDIE MERCURY, I do give 'props' to current lead singer, ADAM LAMBERT on his dedication, effort, talent, and most importantly, his awareness of the responsibility of the role. The responsibility I speak of is of that to QUEEN fans, of maintaining, presenting, and preserving the legacy of one of Classic Rock's greatest bands. I'm sure it's been a huge 'leap of faith' not only for Mr. Lambert, but for the other members of Queen and their fans who have kept an open mind in terms of Lambert stepping in to carry on for one of the most talented, flamboyant Rock & Roll front men ever. Of his recognition of the important role he has, Adam Lambert says, "I've always been honored and understanding of the weight and legacy of the band," Lambert says. "In the beginning, I was pretty intimidated by that. I tried not to let it show." The former American Idol contestant first hooked up with the members of Queen on Season #8 of the TV show, and he's been their singer since 2012. The next 'Queen + Adam Lambert' Tour will last about 3 months and will kick off in Phoenix Arizona in late June.
