Here's what happening in the Classic Rock world -

  • The Beatles are being sued by Sid Bernstein Presents for using footage from the '65 Shea Stadium concert (the late Bernstein promoted the event) in various projects, including the new Ron Howard-directed documentary "Eight Days A Week - The Touring Years." The company claims the Beatles have violated their copyright of the footage and are asking the Court to confirm its sole ownership of the footage. "Eight Days A Week" debuts in theaters on Friday (Sept.16th) and on Hulu the following day.
  • Jimmy Page held a live chat about Led Zeppelin's "The Complete BBC Sessions" earlier today (Sept. 14th) on Facebook Live. The BBC album comes out on Friday (Sept 16th).
  • Bruce Springsteen has released an audio clip of him reading a selection from his "Born To Run" memoir, which comes out Sept. 27th. Springsteen reads from a chapter about growing up in the shadow of the Vietnam War. (Watch below)
    • "Born To Run" was ranked the No. 1 Bruce Springsteen song of all time according to a story on Vulture.com, which ranks all 314 of Springsteen's officially released songs.
    • The "Born To Run" album has three other songs in the Top 10 - "Thunder Road," "Backstreets" and "Jungleland." Coming in dead last was "Mr. Outside," a demo from last year's "The Ties That Bind" box set.
