Sting, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott, and Bush’s Gavin Rossdale performed on Tuesday night (January 25th) at L.A.'s Wiltern Theatre for the "Celebrating David Bowie" show. According to Billboard, legendary Bowie side musicians like guitarists Earl Slick and Adrian Belew, pianist Mike Garson, and bassist Gail Ann Dorsey showed up to pay tribute.

Brian May has commented on the death of Mott the Hoople bassist Pete Overend Watts, saying he was “a gentle soul and a pure rock and roll heart.” Queen opened for Mott in the ’70s.

 

Steven Tyler will do solo shows in Japan in April.

Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton called it a “blast” playing with Thin Lizzy aboard the Rock Legends Cruise 5. “Such great guys, and so tolerant of me tripping over myself! Can't thank them enough! That goes for their managers and all their crew guys too!”
