Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi Reveals Lump In His Throat Wasn't Cancerous

January 9, 2017
Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi recently had successful surgery to remove a non-cancerous lump from his throat. Back in December, Iommi revealed in an interview that doctors detected new activity in his throat but were unsure whether the lump was cancerous until he had the operation.

Iommi told U.K. rock radio Planet Rock that he got the good news over the Holidays. He said, "I found out on Christmas Day, which is brilliant. So far [I'm good]. I daren't say that. I'll probably fall down the stairs now. [Laughs]"
