The Buffalo Sabres have announced that both goaltender Linus Ullmark and defenseman Brendan Guhle have been assigned to the Rochester Americans. Both players looked very good in Thursday's win over the Blue Jackets, but with the Sabres off until next Thursday they'll head to Rochester.

On Thursday, Guhle got his first career NHL point with a secondary assist on a goal by Kyle Okposo. Meanwhile, Ullmark was the 1st star of the game with a 44 save win. Both players have thrived this year in Rochester. Ullmark was named an AHL All-Star and has a record of 17-5-1. Guhle has 7 goals and 20 points in 35 games.

Ullmark will not play in Rochester's game on Friday night, as Adam Wilcox will get the start. Whether Guhle plays is still not known.
