Sabres send down two players

Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - Neither Alex Nylander or Sean Malone got on the ice during training camp due to injuries. Both have been sent to Rochester to put Buffalo at 25 players.

The Sabres must be to 23 players by 5:00 today, but they won't have to do anything else if the put two of three injured players (Zach Bogosian, Evan Rodrigues or Justin Falk) on injured reserve. Rodrigues could still go to Rochester. 

There are 10 new faces on the Buffalo roster, which is 40-percent of the team.

On the forward side, there are five new guys: Jason Pominville, Benoit Pouliot, Seth Griffith, Jacob Josefson and Jordan Nolan.

On defense, there's Nate Beaulieu, Victor Antipin, Marco Scandella and Matt Tennyson.

Chad Johnson is new in goal.
