Sabres' McCabe is having a second surgery

February 20, 2018

Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - Earlier this month, Jake McCabe had surgery to repair his thumb. Now, the Sabres have announced that he will have shoulder surgery that will require a recovery time of four to six months.

In a statement Jason Botterill said, “Jake has been progressing well in his recovery from his previous injury, but we decided that this was a good opportunity to take care of a problem that he has been dealing with for a while. Jake will have time to fully recover before the beginning of the 2018-19 season.”

Zach Bogosian is also out for the season with hip surgery.
