The Buffalo Sabres played host to former Sabre goaltender Ryan Miller and the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday evening in KeyBank Center. Buffalo, 0-3-0 since the All-Star break, came into this matchup still searching for elusive win number one since the unofficial midway point of the NHL season.

While they didn't win, the Sabres registered their first point since the break. Anaheim outlasted Buffalo in overtime by a final of 4-3. Ryan O'Reilly came up with the clutch game-tying goal with just 14.5 seconds left in regulation, but newest Duck Adam Henrique ended things 1:36 into the extra period as he beat Robin Lehner up high.

Go inside the locker room to hear from Zemgus Girgensons, Ryan O'Reilly, Jack Eichel and Phil Housley following the loss.

Zemgus Girgensons:

On his SHG: "It was just a good job defending on the penalty kill. I got the puck out, took them wide and got a little lucky with the rebound."

Lack of breaks: "That's hockey. It happens. Sometimes it'll go the other way. Thought we gave a pretty good effort today, but those couple bounces cost us the game."

Ryan O'Reilly:

On the effort to tie the game late: "I thought the guys did a good job of winning battles off the faceoff. It started from there. Guys were working, they made some good plays. We tried to get shots to the net and got a good bounce."

His gaffe: "It's a stupid play by me. I have to go right to the corner, but I saw a lot of guys on that side of the ice. I was trying to go behind the net and take [the puck] out the other side. I have to be more aware. It's frustrating, because then we have to spend time catching back up. It's energy we didn't need to spend. It sucks."

Jack Eichel:

Still not up to par: "There was some lackluster execution I think. We gave them many chances to score. I thought we played well. I thought we did good things... but like I said there's a few opportunities to make even a few more plays and I think we're failing to make them. That's been the tale of our season."

Overtime struggles: "I really can't pinpoint it. I feel like there's been a lot of different instances this year in overtime where we've either had some type of collapse defensively or haven't made the smartest play with the puck. It's trouble. You only have three guys out there and a goalie. If you make a big time mistake, it usually ends up in the back of your net."

Phil Housley:

On O'Reilly's own-goal:  "It's a difficult place to be. I've been there before. You try to battle back mentally. It was a credit to him and our team that we applied some pressure. When we got the goalie pulled, we were in their zone the entire time. We finally got to finish and tie it up."

How the periods looked to him in terms of execution: "I thought the execution was pretty good in the first period, but in the second [period] we got away from it... missing passes. We lost zones because of it and [Anaheim] kept coming at us... I thought it was much better in the third [period]; we moved the puck pretty well. I think there were some times where our line changes weren't very good at key times in the game, but Robin [Lehner] came up with some big saves."
