First Period

17:37 - Rasmus Ristolainen takes the first minor penalty of the night, he will sit for interference. We will see if the special teams that has played better recently keeps it up.

16:38 - SABRES GOAL. There is it, the special teams I just talked about. Zemgus Girgensons is able to get to a loose puck at the Anaheim blue line and does not give up. His rebound attempt goes off of Ryan Miller and just inside of the goal post for a short handed goal. Hustle, hustle, hustle. 1-0 BUF

11:49 - Robin Lehner has had to make a couple of big saves to preserve the Buffalo one-goal lead. A toe save on a 2-on-1 chance was the latest, and maybe best, save on the night.

7:02 - Ryan Kesler was called for roughing, but Buffalo failed to advance their lead. They have the edge in shots, 9-8, in addition to the goal column. This has been a very well played period, in my opinion.

1:18 - The last five or six minutes have not been the leanest for the blue and gold. This time Kyle Okposo slashes the stick right out of the hands of an Anaheim forward. The stick disintigrates and Okposo sits for slashing.
