Patrick Kane picked up a goal and an assist at KeyBank Center on Sunday, part of the Blackhawks' 5-1 rout over the Sabres. The win ended a three-game winning streak for Buffalo and extended Chicago's victorious streak over the Sabres to 11 games.

Scoring
  • Ryan Hartman opened the scoring in the 1st period, ripping a shot off the crossbar and into the net for the 1-0 Chicago lead.
  • Evander Kane stayed red-hot, hammering home his 21st goal of the season off a backhand feed by Jack Eichel. Kane's goal came with 5 seconds left in the 1st period.
  • Chicago regained the lead on Marian Hossa's 21st of the season and went up 3-1 later in the period on Jonathan Toews' 12th. Toews gathered a rebound in front of Robin Lehner and jammed it home for the two-goal lead.
  • Patrick Kane set up Artem Anisimov early in the 3rd for the 4-1 Chicago lead, and then beat Lehner after being left alone next to the crease. Kane's 20th made it 5-1 at 6:36 of the final frame.
