GAMEDAY: Chargers lead Bills 10-7

The Buffalo Bills are coming off big losses to both the Jets and Chargers. Both sides of the ball have been under performing, especially the defense who's given up roughly 500 rush yards in the last two weeks. On offense, Sean McDermott made a momentus move, announcing on Wednesday that Nathan Peterman will start at quarterback, over Tyrod Taylor. The Chargers are at 3-6 on the season, they lost in overtime to the Jaguars last week. It's the Bills first trip to the StubHub Center in LA. The smallest stadium in the NFL, by far, holds just 27,000, and it's often been filled by opposing fans.

For the Bills, some important players are inactive.

On the other side of the field, the Chargers will have Philip Rivers under center. There was some question early in the week, whether Rivers would be able to play or not with a councussion. However, Rivers has cleared concussion protocol, and will start. One notable inactive, former UB Bulls running back Branden Oliver.

It couldn't have been a worse start for the Bills. Nathan Peterman made a great throw to a covered Kelvin Benjamin for 20 yards. Benjamin stayed down holding his knee. He walked to the sidelines, but was carted to the locker room. The Bills have announced Benjamin is out for the game.

On the next play, Peterman threw a pass to Pat DiMarco that was tipped up into the air, intercepted, and returned for a touchdown for the Chargers. On the next drive, Peterman threw up a duck that was intercepted again by the Chargers.

The Bills answered back, with two huge LeSean McCoy runs. McCoy ran right up the middle to set the Bills up in Chargers territory, and on the next play he took a pitch outside, 27 yards for the touchdown.
