Gameday: Bills and Falcons scoreless in second quarter

After an impressive win last week over the Denver Broncos at New Era Field, the Buffalo Bills face an even tougher challenge as they travel to Atlanta to take on the defending NFC Champion Falcons at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Falcons come into Sunday's affair as just one of two teams in the National Football League who remain undefeated. The only other team to go without losing a game to this point is the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Bills come into this game as one of the top defensive units after the first three games of the season. Buffalo ranks as the sixth best defensive unit in the NFL, averaging the fewest points allowed per-game and has yet to give up a passing touchdown this season.

The defense will get one big weapon back on the field with the return of defensive tackle Marcell Dareus from an ankle injury. However, pass rusher Shaq Lawson was a later addition to the injury report with a groin injury and will not play on Sunday. Ryan Davis will get the start in place of Lawson.

On the offensive side of the ball, left tackle Cordy Glenn remains out of the lineup with a foot / ankle injury. He missed last week's game with the same injury to the opposite foot that he injured during training camp and into the preseason.

As for the Falcons, they come in as the fourth best offensive unit in the league, averaging 388 yards per-game and 29 points per-game.

However, the defensive side of the ball has got a case of the injury bug heading into Sunday's game. Both starters Vic Beasley (hamstring) and Courtney Upshaw (ankle / knee) are out of the lineup this week for the Falcons.
