For the third time this season, another Buffalo Bills player has received a high honor from the National Football League.

Bills kicker Dan Carpenter was named as the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday morning for his performance against the Cincinnati Bengals this past Sunday.

Carpenter accounted for 10 of Buffalo's 16 points on Sunday, and was a perfect 3-for-3 on his field goal attempts. One of Carpenter's kicks was from 54-yards out, which put him as the team's all-time leader in 50-yard field goals with 14.

This is the second time Carpenter has won the same award with the Bills, and it is the sixth time he has won the honor in his career. The last time he was named as Special Teams Player of the Week was in Week 1 of the 2014 season.

The last Bills player to win Special Teams Player of the Week was Boobie Dixon in Week 12 of the 2014 season.
