The last time the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars played one another was last season in London, England. The Bills were without Tyrod Taylor at quarterback, and the Jaguars took advantage of E.J. Manuel. Jacksonville scored 20 points on three second quarter turnovers by the Bills, and beat Buffalo 34-31.

The loss left the Bills at 3-4 heading into the bye week and behind the 8-ball for the rest of the 2015 season.

Over a year later, the Bills and Jaguars met again, this time at New Era Field in Orchard Park, New York.

The Jaguars took the opening drive down field looking for the first score of the game. They went 2-for-2 on third down conversions, including a 27-yard scramble from quarterback Blake Bortles. A holding call in the endzone by Corey White on another third down extended the drive for Jacksonville and on the next play running back Chris Ivory scored from 2-yards out to put the Jaguars up 7-0.

The opening drive touchdown was the first for Jacksonville since week 2 of the 2015 season against the Miami Dolphins.

The quarter ended with the Bills offense going three-and-out on both of their drives in the quarter.

Of note was Bills cornerback Ronald Darby taking a knee to the side of his head on the Jaguars' second drive of the game. Darby stayed down on the field before getting up and heading straight for the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion. He was diagnosed with a concussion and did not return to the game.

The second quarter saw the Bills and Jaguars exchange drives with little production on the score board.

With less than two minutes to play, kick returner Brandon Tate gave the Bills great field position thanks to a 43-yard return to the Jaguars' 27-yard line.

Five plays later, LeSean McCoy took a pitch from Tyrod Taylor and got the Bills on the board from seven yards out. Last week's AFC Special Teams Players of the Week Dan Carpenter missed his extra-point chance and the score at halftime was 7-6 Jaguars.

The Bills received the ball to start the second half. On the first play from scrimmage, Le Sean McCoy gave the Bills the lead with an exciting game breaking 75-yard touchdown run - the longest career touchdown run for McCoy - Dan Carpenter converted the extra-point attempt and the Bills went up 13-6.

Jacksonville takes their next offensive drive down the field for a chance to re-take the lead. Marquise Lee ties the game with a 20-yard touchdown catch from Blake Bortles, and Jason Myers' extra-point put the Jaguars back on top, 14-13.

With less than five minutes to go in the third quarter, the Bills take possession and immediately move the ball down the field. Taylor finds wide receiver Sammy Watkins on the first play of the drive for a 62-yard pickup. Three plays later, Taylor finds the endzone on his feet with a 7-yard scamper to put the Bills ahead 20-13.

On the play before the touchdown, wide receiver Walter Powell left the game after getting his leg rolled up on. Powell was carted off the field and he did not return.

Jacksonville responds on the next drive with a 12-yard touchdown reception from Allen Hurns on the first play of the fourth quarter. Hurns came up lame after the play, but his effort gave the Jaguars the lead again, 21-20.

The lead changed hands again as the Bills got a 16-yard touchdown reception from Justin Hunter. The Bills also converted a two-point conversion thanks to a McCoy 2-yard run to go up by a seven, 28-21.

After both the Bills and Jaguars exchange chances, Jacksonville gets the ball with 6:55 left to play. The Jaguars are able to get the ball into Buffalo territory, but take a costly delay of game penalty on 4th and 4 with 3:33 to play. On 4th and 9, Bortles throws short to Lee and Buffalo's defense stops the Jaguars short.

The Bills take over and run out the clock to cap off the 28-21 win.

Buffalo will next head out west to take on the Oakland Raiders next Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. Be sure to hear all the action on WGR with John Murphy, Mark Kelso, and Sal Capaccio on the call.
