The Bills are right in the thick of the AFC Wild Card race at 8-6. Today, their tougher matchup of the two remaining on paper, at the 11-3 New England Patriots. The Bills are heavy underdogs, against the team they just lost to 3 weeks ago.

The Patriots have some injuries on offense, Chris Hogan, Rex Burkhead, and James White all are not playing against the Bills. That means Mike Gillislee is active for the first time since Week 8. He and Dion Lewis will lead the Pats backfield, with Brandon Bolden also in the mix.

For the Bills, Kelvin Benjamin, Kyle Williams, and Nick O'Leary all are playing despite being questionable. Here's the official inactives, as you can see the Bills will be without one of their starting cornerbacks.

The Bills stopped the Patriots to a 3 and out to start the game. Many talked about the need to keep Brady off the field throughout the week, and the Bills did that early. They went on a 16 play drive, killing just over 8 minutes of clock. They would have to settle for a field goal.

After Brady put together an 80 yard drive to answer, Taylor immediatley hit Deonte Thompson on a 43 yard connection. Faced with a 4th and 2 on the Patriots 2 yard line, Sean McDermott decided to go for it. Taylor scrambled out of the pocket and was chased down from behind, forcing an incompletion. It was certaintly an aggressive decision by McDermott, one many will applaud him for.

Tom Brady made a crucial error with 10:46 to go in the 2nd quarter. Brady was late with a throw, that Jordan Poyer picked off, and returned 19 yards for the touchdown.
